Abreast In A Boat is a registered charitable society whose mission is to demonstrate that those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer can live full, active, and healthy lives.
Since 2012, the Abreast at Rocky Point crew has paddled out of the beautiful Rocky Point Park in Port Moody. Prior to this, our crew paddled out of the Barnet Marine Park (1998 to 2011).
We are privileged to be part of Abreast In A Boat and to be able to challenge ourselves, advocate to continue the fight against breast cancer, and to support women who have been diagnosed to see you can lead a healthy and strong life after a breast cancer diagnosis.

The Draggin' Divas is an all-women dragon boat team who have been paddling together for over 12 years. Our team moved to Rocky Point in Port Moody in 2016 from Pitt Meadows. In search of more challenging water to train on as we were transitioning to become a more competitive team, every time we’re on the water, we are grateful for the Inlet’s beautiful scenery and wildlife.
We race in local, regional and international regattas, and are a hardworking group of paddlers, committed to the sport. Our coach keeps us focused, urges us on, and puts us through our paces. That said, all work and no play can make any team dull and the Divas are anything but that - we are a very social group who can be found on the dancefloor or celebrating a full day of racing with other paddlers.
For more information about our team, please contact Alice at draggindivas2010@gmail.com
